Megan Allison joined the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) staff as the Marketing Associate in 2021 and was promoted in 2024 as Marketing Manager. In her role, Megan supports ACORE’s membership and events teams by planning, drafting, scheduling, and tracking various marketing efforts, including social media campaigns and content marketing.

  • Created a process improvement in event marketing through strategizing, planning, and executing an event promotional calendar 

  • Lead designer for the corporate engagement team, responsible for drafting and creating newsletters, factsheets, brochures, invitations, social media campaigns, PowerPoint presentations, and multimedia productions

  • Plan and execute marketing and communications campaigns to drive registrations

    • In 2021, promoted ACORE signature virtual events through social media and marketing emails, resulting in over 900 attendees representing over 400 organizations 

    • In 2022, over 150 attendees at the ACORE Policy Forum and over 240 attendees at the ACORE Anniversary Gala

  • Create an ACORE events brand book, promoting a consistent theme and voice

  • Develop and brand event microsites using WordPress

  • Ensure marketing and communications materials and digital footprint reflect diversity and inclusion

Additionally, Megan is the Social Media Coordinator for Voices for Children Montgomery, where she executes a results-driven social media strategy and develops engaging content for all social media platforms. She is a former Event Manager at The American Visionary Arts Museum, former Site Supervisor at Historic London Town and Gardens, and current Venue Manager at the Johns Hopkins Peabody Library and Evergreen Museum.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Geography and Environmental Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
